TESTING TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS

PPE AGAINST CATEGORY III RISKS - These gloves have been tested for use as PPE equipment to protect against category III risks.

WHAT IS A CATEGORY III RISK?

Category III risks are complex hazards which are severe or life-threatening, or those which can cause irreversible injuries. This includes hazards such as:

  • Hazardous chemicals and materials
  • Electric shocks and contact with various voltage levels
  • Knife wounds
  • Deafening/damaging noise levels

In the case of the ActivArmr Class 00 Gloves, the design helps to protect against life-threatening or irreversible injury cause by contact with low-voltage electricity.

Please note: These gloves are a Class 0 Pair of insulating gloves, and they are only suitable for use for as long as they are not damaged in any way.

WHAT DOES CLASS 0 PROTECTION MEAN?

These gloves are rated Class 0 for electrical insulation. This means that they can insulate against a maximum of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC.

ARE THERE ANY ALTERNATIVES TO THIS RUBBER LATEX GLOVE?

Ansell also make a black variant of this Arc-Flash Resistant Glove. The ActivArmr Class 0 Electrical Insulation Gloves (Black) function similarly to the yellow variant, and offer protection from the same level of electrical voltage. However, the black variant has a case-hardened finish, offering a tougher and more solid glove surface. Speak to our team member should you require different type.
